Martin R. Tilson Jr. has left Atlanta's Kilpatrick Stockton to join Burr & Forman as the partner in charge for its Atlanta office. Tilson, who once headed Kilpatrick's technology practice, is a corporate attorney who has handled a lot of technology deals. He is on the boards of the Technology Association of Georgia and Southeast BIO, a trade group that promotes the life sciences industry in the region. Kilpatrick Stockton saw the departure of five other attorneys earlier this week.

Martin R. Tilson Jr. has left Atlanta’s Kilpatrick Stockton to join Burr & Forman as the partner in charge for its Atlanta office.
“They reached out to a native son,” said Kilpatrick Stockton’s co-managing partner, William E. Dorris, explaining that Tilson is from Birmingham, Ala., where Burr & Forman is based. He graduated from the University of Alabama Law School.
