Nossaman Managing Partner Makes Sudden Departure for Winston & Strawn

Just two weeks ago, Nossaman Guthner Knox & Elliott credited managing partner Scott DeVries for the firm's record growth. Which is why his sudden exit to the San Francisco office of Winston & Strawn appears all the more startling. Indeed, his resignation seems to have pulled the rug from under the partnership, some of whom believed DeVries would be re-elected to an eighth consecutive term this month. Despite great financial results, DeVries may have been an increasingly polarizing figure inside the firm.
