The U.S. Supreme Court has turned down a national rent-to-own company’s appeal from a N.J. ruling that permits a consumer class action to proceed against it.
The justices denied a petition for certiorari by Rent-A-Center Inc., of Plano, Texas, contesting retroactive effect of the decision that its transactions are subject to the N.J. Retail Installment Sales Act.
