A man paralyzed in a car crash after a night of underage drinking can sue the bars that served him alcohol, Massachusetts' highest court has ruled. The plaintiff was left a paraplegic following a 2002 accident that occurred when he was 18 and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.13. The state Supreme Judicial Court rejected his claims that two establishments knowingly served him when he was already intoxicated, but the court allowed him to sue them for negligence for serving a minor.
