The Ozarks tourist town of Branson, Mo., is suing 15 Internet travel companies, claiming unpaid back taxes on hotel room bookings. Branson's lawsuit, filed last week, alleges the travel services either failed to collect or remit a 4 percent hotel room tax. Companies being sued include Hotels.com, Hotwire, Travelocity, Orbitz and Expedia. Similar lawsuits in Philadelphia and Atlanta have been dismissed.
