Incoming Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd said Thursday he plans to make oversight over public and corporate pension fund investments into hedge funds a priority for 2007.

“I’m worried about pensioners, who are not sophisticated investors,” the Connecticut Democrat told reporters at a briefing on his plans for 2007. “We bear a responsibility that there is transparency for that kind of investor.”
