A group of current and former employees of a Georgia-Pacific resin plant in Crossett, Ark., will take their concerns over asbestos exposure to the Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Arkansas Supreme Court has ruled.

An Ashley County Circuit Court previously ruled it had jurisdiction over the case and the determination of whether the employees could make a claim under the workers’ compensation act. However, the state Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, saying the state Workers’ Compensation Commission had “exclusive, original jurisdiction” over the matter.
