New Jersey regulators want another time extension to prepare arguments to uphold a ban on Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America advertising, but Super Lawyers is opposing any new deadline. On Monday, the state attorney general's office asked the Supreme Court for a third extension, to Nov. 13, to file a brief defending the ban. Opinion 39, issued July 24 by the Advisory Committee on Attorney Advertising, is effective only in New Jersey but has been debated by lawyer regulators around the country.
