The Seoul Central District Court early Wednesday rejected a prosecution request to arrest three officials of Dallas-based private equity group Lone Star Funds. Last week, the same court rejected a previous request by prosecutors to issue arrest warrants for the officials over alleged stock price manipulation. Prosecutors immediately resubmitted the request, which was heard by a different judge with the same result. "There's no reason for arrest," the court said in a statement.
