A decision in a four-year dispute over pension benefits between E.I. duPont de Nemours Co. Inc. and one of its employees came down early this month when U.S. District Court of Delaware Judge Kent A. Jordan ruled partially in the employee’s favor, enjoining the company from continuing to use an employment start date that has resulted in lower pension payments.

The decision was in Melvin Pell and Ellen Pell v. E.I. duPont de Nemours Co. Inc.
