In the past, in-house lawyers who wanted to do pro bono work may have found themselves with fewer opportunities than their law-firm counterparts. But that's changing, as indicated by the Association of Corporate Counsel's in-house pro bono program in California. "It's pro bono on a silver platter," says Hewlett-Packard Deputy GC Bruce Ives, who is also pro bono chairman for ACC's Bay Area chapter. "All you have to do is show up. We'll feed you, we'll train you, we'll bring the clients to you."
