Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor will wear the black robe again this week when she joins a 2nd Circuit panel in Manhattan to hear arguments on five cases. The nation's first female justice, who retired from the Court in January after more than 24 years on the bench, will sit Wednesday on a three-judge panel, according to Circuit Executive Karen Milton. The late Supreme Court Justices Thurgood Marshall and Byron R. White both heard cases after they retired from the high court.
