A case pitting two well-known firms against each other has been quietly settled in Fulton County Superior Court, where local plaintiffs’ shop Chitwood Harley Harnes sued four former associates who left the firm in February to open an Atlanta office for South Carolina’s Motley Rice.

The suit accused the four attorneys — Lauren S. Antonino, Stuart J. Guber, James M. Evangelista and David J. Worley, who also took forensic accountant Brian C. Bradley along when they departed — of absconding with proprietary client information from the Chitwood office and of trying to lure away the Atlanta company’s clients.
