Milbank Tweed Opens Fourth Asian Office

Attracted to China's explosive growth, New York-based Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has opened a new office in Beijing -- the firm's fourth in Asia and ninth worldwide. In the past year and a half, Milbank Tweed has worked on more than 50 deals worth $40 billion in 12 countries throughout Asia. Anthony Root, head of Milbank Tweed's corporate practice in Asia, is partner-in-charge of the Beijing office and will be joined by four other attorneys.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has opened its ninth office, in Beijing.

The 550-attorney firm has been active in Asia since the 1920s and, in 1977, established offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
