Marshall Grossman is pushing hard for a merger with Cooley Godward or another large firm, but partners Stanton "Larry" Stein and Robert Kahan are in advanced negotiations to launch a Santa Monica office affiliated with New York-based Dreier. What remains unclear is how many of Alschuler Grossman's 100 lawyers will wind up where.
