Though base pay and bonuses may be flat, the value of restricted stock awards has soared, according to the third annual GC South Compensation Survey of the Southeast's top in-house lawyers. The increase in restricted stock awards follows a general trend across corporate America, where executive pay is being more closely tied to performance.
