The noose has been tightened on defalcating attorneys in Connecticut.
Effective Jan. 1, 2007, any lawyer found guilty by a Superior Court judge of misappropriating clients’ funds will be automatically disbarred for at least 12 years and cannot be considered for readmission before then.
