The verdict is in: Lewis lives. Superior Court Judge Patrick Carroll III declined Tuesday to order Lewis, the celebrity serial-scratching cat, euthanized. Instead, the judge placed owner Ruth Cisero in a program that will erase a reckless endangerment charge if she completes two years probation and 50 hours of community service. Lewis must also abide by a previous restraining order that prevents him from leaving Cisero's Fairfield, Conn., home. However, he can presumably keep his page on Myspace.com.
