The Santa Cruz, Calif., legal community was stunned by the death of workers' compensation attorney Jay BloomBecker, who authorities say was gunned down in his office by a disgruntled client last week. Angus Macintyre turned himself in to police after reportedly confessing the murder to a friend. Macintyre had been upset with the workers' comp settlement he'd received and had started showing up at BloomBecker's office, complaining that he'd run out of cash, according to BloomBecker's girlfriend.

The Santa Cruz County sheriff’s office announced Friday that Angus Macintyre turned himself in after reportedly confessing to a friend that he’d murdered BloomBecker, 61.
