Ruth Cisero was in Bridgeport, Conn., Superior Court on Tuesday on a charge of second-degree reckless endangerment involving her cat's behavior. Neighbors claim they have been terrorized by Lewis, a six-toed cat whom they characterize as a stealthy assailant that has attacked at least a half-dozen people. Said one woman, "He attacks from the back. You never see it coming." A hearing was set for June 20 to determine whether Cisero could get special probation and see Lewis' life spared.
