An Ohio State University student who recanted his claim that he had been abducted has been released on a reduced bond after his arraignment in a Tennessee court Thursday. Hiroshi Hayashi went missing from the campus a week ago but showed up Tuesday at the police department in Athens, Ohio, claiming he had escaped a kidnapping attempt. Hayashi's brother Junichi said that his brother had normal college student stress but the family doesn't know what prompted the incident.
