Fueling a partisan fight, the Senate's top Democrat said Tuesday he's considering a filibuster of two of President Bush's judicial nominees. Sen. Harry Reid said D.C. Circuit nominee Brett Kavanaugh may have been involved in the administration's policy on torture, adding that Kavanaugh's negatives "pale in comparison" to federal Judge Terrence Boyle, Bush's 4th Circuit nominee. Reid cited an online article alleging that Boyle ruled in favor of General Electric in a pension case after buying GE stock.

The Senate’s top Democrat on Tuesday said he is considering a filibuster of two of President Bush’s judicial nominees, saying one may have been involved in the administration’s policy on torture and the other ruled in a case in which he had a clear conflict of interest.
“The answer is yes, a possible filibuster, of course,” Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters in answer to a question about the nomination of White House aide Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
