A Romanian native has been sentenced to five months in federal prison after pleading guilty to e-mailing threats to two of eBay's top officers. Florin Horicianu, a naturalized U.S. citizen living in New York, claimed eBay owed him at least $7,200 for his attempts to recruit thousands of Romanians to become members of eBay's affiliates program. According to court documents, Horicianu's e-mails included the statement, "I will haunt and hurt you and your family."

A Romanian native unhappy with eBay Inc.’s business practices was sentenced to five months in prison for making e-mailed threats against two of the company’s top officers.
Florin Horicianu, a naturalized U.S. citizen living in Ridgewood, N.Y., also received five months of electronic monitoring and was ordered to stay away from eBay employees and events, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Francisco.
