For the first time in 16 years, a team from the United States has won the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Columbia Law School took home the trophy after beating out 556 teams from 89 countries in a series of competitions. In the final round, Columbia successfully argued against the team from Venezuela. The competition is sponsored by the International Law Students Association, in conjunction with the American Society of International Law.

Columbia Law School took home the winning trophy after beating out 556 teams from 89 countries in a series of competitions. The six-member Columbia Law team won in the final round on April 1 in Washington, D.C.
