Drinker Biddle & Reath is rumored to be in merger talks with The Bayard Firm of Wilmington, Del., according to sources familiar with both legal communities. Drinker Biddle managing partner Andrew C. Kassner says his firm's goals include expanding in bankruptcy, intellectual property and corporate and chancery work. The Bayard Firm, with 25 attorneys, has practice groups in each of those areas. Drinker Biddle has 450 lawyers and 10 offices, including one in Wilmington.
