Manik Rath is vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of McLean, Va.-based LMI, a nonprofit strategic consulting company that advises the government in areas such as procurement and logistics. Although the company has more than 700 employees, Rath has just one other attorney in his legal department. Rath considers the most significant legal issues he faces to be regulatory ones involving adherence to corporate governance and federal contracting standards.
