Horowitz criticizes Cleaver for her "anti-American opinions." Cleaver responds: "I'm anti-racist. I'm for human rights. I'm against imperial domination. What he's saying is all those things I'm against are essential to America. Who appointed him the arbiter of Americanism?"

An Emory University law lecturer is one of the most dangerous academics in America, according to conservative writer and activist David Horowitz.
Horowitz listed Kathleen Neal Cleaver, a former Black Panther who teaches at Emory, in his book, “The Professors,” subtitled “The 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America.” (Despite the title, the book profiles only 100 academics.)
