Steven Avery was a success story for the Wisconsin Innocence Project, which helps free wrongfully convicted people from prison. He was convicted of rape in 1985 but the project uncovered evidence in 2003 that exonerated him. Now, details allegedly link him to a 2005 murder. "Whatever may or may not be happening now doesn't change the fact that he did not commit that crime in 1985. It's absolutely undisputed," said Keith Findley, co-director of the project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison law school.
