A battle over millions of dollars in marital assets has hinged on the nuances of the word “reconciliation.”

Although Dr. Gerson Gomes argued that he was merely sleeping with his estranged wife Angela Gomes to satisfy his “male needs,” Queens Supreme Court Judicial Hearing Officer Stanley Gartenstein has ruled that the couple’s ongoing relationship constituted a legal reconciliation.
