The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission may seek monetary damages against Sidley Austin Brown & Wood for alleged age discrimination against partners, a federal appeals court in Chicago ruled Friday.
In its lawsuit filed last year, the EEOC is seeking back pay on behalf of 31 partners it claims were demoted in 2000 to counsel status because of age.
