A defense attorney for former Enron Corp. CEO Jeffrey Skilling challenged Kenneth Rice, once Skilling’s friend as well as employee and now a government witness at Skilling’s federal trial, with being out of touch with his staff and having his successor question his competency.
Rice was on the stand for the second day Wednesday; he is the government’s second witness in the fraud and conspiracy trial of Skilling and company founder and former chairman Kenneth Lay.
