The trial of Brian G. Nichols will take place in the building from which authorities say he escaped from a holding cell before murdering four people, including a judge, a court reporter and a sheriff’s deputy.

Judge Hilton M. Fuller Jr. ruled late Wednesday afternoon that the trial, set to begin Oct. 3, would be heard in Fulton County’s Justice Tower Courtroom 1-C, where he already has been hearing preliminary motions in the case.
