After two decades on the bench, Anne C. Dranginis is trading in her judge's robe for a partnership at Hartford, Conn.'s Rome McGuigan, making her the first appellate court judge in Connecticut to retire from the bench and go back into private practice. The judge admits, "I found myself looking backward" to her advocate days. A single mother with two daughters, Dranginis says her private practice salary, along with her judge's pension, will help ease the burden of tuition payments.
