A New Jersey lawyer has been suspended from practice in the face of evidence she has been using client trust funds to fuel a gambling habit. The state Supreme Court's action came a day after oral argument in the case of Jaffa Stein and just three weeks after justices ordered the solo practitioner to stop taking on new clients. A state Office of Attorney Ethics counsel told the court that Stein blamed her actions on a gambling addiction, and that she admitted she was still gambling.
