Pepper Hamilton has brought in William L. McCusker to replace retiring chief marketing officer Mary Beth Pratt, who became the first to hold the position at the firm. Formerly senior vice president of global branding for job-placement firm Manpower, McCusker has never worked in the legal industry, but says it was finally ready for him. "I've observed over the years that the legal industry was warming up to marketers," he says.
