Several Nashville, Tenn., song publishers have filed a federal lawsuit against a firm that supplies karaoke fans with the lyrics and tunes to hundreds of popular songs. The publishing houses seek an injunction to stop Chartbuster Karaoke from selling the products, which they contend go beyond traditional karaoke packages by offering recorded vocal performances of the songs in addition to musical accompaniment.
