For those of you who were already out of town or buried in last-minute deals, Alston & Bird played the role of the Grinch for the Atlanta legal community right before the holidays. First, the firm announced it was raising first-year associate salaries to $115,000 as of January 1, and worse yet, seventh-year associate salaries would zoom from $137,500 to $165,000.
Would someone please introduce me to the first-year associate who is worth $115,000?
