A new judge will preside over the trial of U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay on money laundering and conspiracy charges.

After hearing more than four hours of testimony as to whether contributions that state District Judge Bob Perkins made to Democratic groups give the appearance that Perkins might not be impartial in DeLay’s case, senior Judge C.W. Duncan granted the defense’s recusal motion on Tuesday.
