Former Gemstar-TV Guide CEO Henry C. Yuen, who was forced out in 2002, will plead guilty to a felony charge of obstruction of justice regarding a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into accounting irregularities. The plea calls for Yuen to be sentenced to two years probation with employment restrictions, including six months of home detention. In addition, he will pay a $250,000 fine and donate $1 million to three Los Angeles-area charities for low-income fraud victims.
