Working as a lawyer at Drinker Biddle & Reath had been the only job Jim Sweet has held since graduating from the College of William & Mary Law School in 1973. But now he has left the firm to embark in New Directions, a Boston-based career transition service exclusively geared toward senior-level executives and professionals.
Sweet stepped down as chairman at Drinker Biddle in February after serving five years in that position and the three years before that as litigation department chairman.
