A stockbroker who claimed to have athletes and celebrities as clients pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges he stole more than $7 million from Wall Street companies where he worked and investors, including NBA star Latrell Sprewell. Calvin R. Darden Jr. faces four to 12 years in prison under a plea agreement with Manhattan prosecutors. Darden also will make $5.7 million in restitution. Darden used $1.4 million of the money to pay off some of his victims while continuing the scheme, authorities said.
