A stockbroker who claimed to have athletes and celebrities as clients pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges he stole more than $7 million from Wall Street companies where he worked and investors, including NBA star Latrell Sprewell.

Calvin R. Darden Jr., 30, faces four to 12 years in prison at his Nov. 10 sentencing under a plea agreement with Manhattan prosecutors. Darden also will make $5.7 million in restitution.
