Two former Merrill Lynch & Co. executives convicted of participating in Houston-based Enron’s bogus sale of power barges to the brokerage could serve more time in prison than the former Enron finance chief credited with masterminding that and other financial schemes.

Federal probation officers have recommended double-digit prison terms for Daniel Bayly, former head of investment banking for Merrill Lynch, and James A. Brown, former head of the brokerage’s asset lease group.
