The Supreme Court unanimously agreed Monday that individual retirement accounts, like pensions, should be shielded from bankruptcy creditors.
The ruling in Rousey v. Jacoway settles an issue that had divided lower courts and could have exposed billions of dollars in IRAs to being used to pay off debts.
