Cochran died of a brain disorder in Los Angeles, said law partner Randy McMurray. Cochran represented a long list of celebrities, including Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt, who spent 27 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit. When Cochran helped win Pratt's freedom, Cochran referred to it as "the happiest day of my life practicing law."
