A Philadelphia judge has certified as a class more than 600 nonmanagement employees of a Massachusetts biopharmaceuticals firm who claim Primedica Corp. should not have canceled stock options it had previously awarded to them. Plaintiffs are alleging breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and unjust enrichment. The plaintiffs' attorney said damages are estimated at roughly $5 million.
