A unanimous 9th Circuit panel has revived a suit against California Chief Justice Ronald George over the constitutionality of the state's vexatious litigant statute. A lower court had tossed the suit by a self-proclaimed "public interest litigator" who has filed dozens of suits in San Francisco Superior Court. Although the panel agreed that George and other judges have judicial immunity, it ruled that the chief is not shielded from litigation over actions he takes as an administrator.
