UPS Inc. is considering an appeal of a federal judge's Thursday ruling that the company violates anti-discrimination laws by barring the deaf and hearing-impaired from driving parcel delivery trucks. Ruling in a class action representing as many as 1,000 would-be drivers, U.S. District Judge Thelton Henderson in San Francisco ordered revisions in the Atlanta-based company's policies within 30 days.
