The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a challenge Wednesday to Pennsylvania's newly drawn congressional boundaries brought by Democrats who claimed Republicans abused their power in the redistricting process by setting out to maximize GOP wins and eliminate as many Democratic incumbents as possible. But the high court did not go as far as Republicans had asked and left the door open to future claims of gerrymandering.
