The Georgia Supreme Court has struggled mightily with the medical malpractice case Beach v. Lipham . Following denial of the plaintiffs' petition for certiorari in May, the justices reversed course and have decided unanimously to hear the matter. At issue is a common jury charge, used in the underlying trial; the action is another example of the court's apparent interest in settling disputes over med-mal cases.
