A jury in Yolo County, Calif., rejected Sara Granda's claims against Ford Motor Co. for severe injuries she suffered when she lost control of her two-door 1989 Ford Escort in 1997. Granda, now a ventilator-dependent quadriplegic, sued on a products liability theory, saying the accident was due to faulty suspension. But on March 26, the jury found no defects and rejected the plaintiff's $50 million request.
